THE PEOPLE'S JOKER on VHS tonight (6/25) at Rosendale Theatre
Featuring a Q&A with creator/director/star Vera Drew!

Our copresentation with WTF Wednesday at the Rosendale Theatre continues tonight with a very special version of the movie that Warner Brothers (allegedly) doesn’t want you to see, THE PEOPLE’S JOKER! Vera Drew, who you may or may not know from her work on Comedy Bang! Bang! and Who is America? wrote and directed this satirical coming-of-age superhero origin story. Tonight’s version of the film is extra special because it’s a VHS style, pan-and-scan version edited by Drew herself. Additionally, she’ll be Zooming in to chat with us before the screening! Here’s everything you need to know:
ENTRY
Doors open at 6:45pm and the film starts promptly at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10, and available here through the Rosendale Theatre website. Tickets will also be available at the door. Rosendale Theatre is located at 408 Main Street in Rosendale.
CONCESSIONS
Rosendale Theatre has a full selections of concessions available for purchase. If you come in costume as any Warner Brothers or WB-related character, you get a free popcorn! Additionally, there will be a corndog pop-up from Kingston fixture The Meat Wagon.
