LOVE & BASKETBALL tonight (6/1) for FREE at Midtown Linear Park!

We’re very excited to be kicking off our Summer Movies in the Park series with Love & Basketball tonight, June 1, at Midtown Linear Park! It’s going to be a little bit chillier than expected, especially after sunset, so definitely bring some layers. Here’s everything else you need to know:

ENTRY

Tonight’s film is 100% free of charge, no RSVP necessary. Vendors will open at 7, our special movie trivia starts at 7:45, and then the film starts at sunset (approx. 8:45.) We’ll be set up where Midtown Linear Park intersects Cornell Street. Be forewarned: if you type “Midtown Linear Park” into Google Maps, it’ll take you to the wrong place. If you type “Red Owl Collective” into Google Maps, it’ll take you to the right place. See the map below:

CONCESSIONS

In lieu of our usual concessions, our friends at Masa Midtown and Little Rye Bakehouse will have some delicious treats, and Kingston Standard will be there with some of their outstanding beers available for purchase. All vendors open at 7, so come early, snag a great seat, and have some food and drink.

SEATING

BYOS (bring your own seat) rules are in effect for tonight’s screening. We recommend camp chairs since it might still be a little damp from yesterday’s rain, but blankets are certainly welcome as well.

PARKING

There is a big municipal parking lot across Cornell Street from the park, which is free. Street parking is also relatively close by, and also free.

TRIVIA

Our trivia quiz, hosted by our devoted volunteer Jazz, starts at 7:45! Form a team with your friends (max. 4 people per team) and test your knowledge. You could win some special prizes from Masa Midtown, Little Rye Bakehouse, or Kingston Standard!
